Launched in 2006, The Jewel Hut is an online jewellery store and one of the UK’s leading pure players in its field. The company has a choice of best-selling and world-famous jewellery brands such as Pandora, Thomas Sabo and Swarovski, as well as pieces from emerging designers.

The Jewel Hut aims to offer branded jewellery at competitive prices and bring users the high-street quality of service to the Internet. As well as quick delivery, it also prides itself on an efficient, no-fuss after sales service.

Objectives

To expand its presence online and further its activity on Google Shopping – one of the most important channels for customer acquisition in e-commerce – The Jewel Hut decided to test Smart FEED by Twenga Solutions.

Solution & Results

The Jewel Hut started using the Smart FEED solution for Google Shopping, which analyses both the purchasing habits of customers and product performance to calculate the optimal bid for each item. Bids are also optimised and adapted in real-time to maximise performance.

After just 3 months, The Jewel Hut was able to notice an improvement in numerous metrics when comparing with data from the same period last year. CPAs and CPCs decreased by 21% and 14% respectively; and with just a 6% increase in PPC investment, site revenue increased by 28% YoY.

More significantly, revenue driven through Google Shopping campaigns increased by 76% and conversion rates improved by 34%.
